ISIS Performance Products


With the extreme change in the market for performance parts, we have seen that there are two types of customers out there. The budget tuner that have limited funds yet feel the need to make changes on thier vehicle in hopes of better performance, then there are customers that buy top quality parts knowing to them the purchase is not an expense, but an investment. They are the ones that know quality over quantity. They rather buy a good part once, rather than buying the lower grade part multiple times.

However, those high quality part customers are fading out and the budget tuners are growing. We have to go with this change to be on top of the market at all times. This is why we brought in ISIS Performance Parts as another line up. ISIS is exactly what we needed for the "budget tuner". Cheap and gets the job done. Carbonetics....Who are they?


Carbonetics.....when you think of LSD's, you problably have in mind KAAZ, OS Giken, Tomei, etc. Now you should be also mentioning Carbonetics in that list. As a new company to the scene (2001), Carbonetics had come aboard to offer 2 lines of Limited Slip Differentials for the Nissan S-Chassis.

The first model is the typical metal differential that offers the same quality and durability as the KAAZ unit we run in our S14 Time Attack car. It's tough and gets the job done. We recommend this unit for any customer doing any type of driving as they offer this in a 2-way and 1.5way.

Now we come to their second model they offer, the Carbon! The Carbon version is one of those things that you think "Ah, that's cool, but why would I want to spend the money on it". Well, let me just put it in perspective, our time attack car will be switching to this model. The most concerning part for any race car is reliability! Having one thing break on you while you are 2000 miles away from home on a track that you are competing on and invested so much in the car just SUCKS! I rather be practicing my racing line and trying to get speeds up in corners than be in the pits scratching my head. The Carbon LSD pretty much never needs to be serviced! Just change the oil regularly and you are good to go. And since it is carbon plated as opposed to metal plates, it is virtually silent when driving. The last and finally good point to mention here is that there is less heat with the carbon which means less thermo breakdown on parts which also inherently makes the unit more reliable than the standard Metal LSD.

The New Hotness - Greddy Full Auto Turbo Timer II



With endusers wanting a smaller compact and easier to mount components, Greddy redesigned their ever so popular Turbo Timer. This Greddy Turbo Timer uses the same wiring as the old version, but now has a small user interface that can easily be mounted using velrco or double sided tape.


Designed to prolong the life of your turbocharge, while adding connivance. GReddy Full Auto Turbo Timers allow a vehicle to idle the engine for a timed period, with the ignition key removed. This conveniently allows the engine oil and turbo center cartridge to cool down properly and prolong turbo and oil life. This can be done by two standard programmable count down presets (P-1, P-2), or the GReddy Full Auto Timer can use it’s two auto timer modes (A-L, A-H). The modes estimate the driving RPM according to the vehicle's alternator signal and then recommend a count down time. A stopwatch/lap time and attack modes along with a built in voltmeter and speedometer are also standard features. Safety options for the parking brake and speedo hook-ups can be used to disengage operation if vehicle is attempted to be moved without the key. Package Deal for Electronic Boost Gauge



Greddy Boost Gauge and Stand has been added to our collection of "package deals" where we combine parts at a "package" price to give more savings to the end user. Now the Greddy boost gauge is easy to read, sized at 52mm (2"dia) and features new and improved Red LED backlighting, for a new look and long life. White face meters now have Red lettering. Also new is pressure values are displayed in standard (PSI) values.

Stand is a simple double sided tape or a four screw mount to hold the gauge down to the dash. A metal band that compresses when tightened is used to secure the gauge down to the stand. Wiring the gauge is very easy and also illuminates when hooked up to the cars lighting signal.

Brembo Brake Fluid, Legit?


Braking systems on any race car are top priority and should never be overlooked. Over the last time attack season, I played greatly with different pad compounds to suit my liking. However, through out the season I was dealing with some break fade, atleast I thought I was. It wasn't until South Carolina that I tried to switch from an "on-shelf" no name brand Dot4 Brake Fluid to the Brembo Brake Fluid. My first impressions was shocking. I had no idea a brake fluid could make such a drastic change. After getting the pads warmed up, the brake pedal feel was exactly the same! It could have been the 2nd lap or the 15th lap on the track, no matter how hard I was hammering on my brakes, they always felt the same. And consistancy makes a huge difference when trying to make the best lap time. Two Thumbs UP!!

Here is some info that describes brake fluid and Brembo's product.

Due to the extreme operating temperatures of a high performance brake system, standard 'off-the-shelf' brake fluids are not recommended. Of critical importance in determining a fluids ability to handle high temperature applications is the Dry Boiling Point and compressibility.
The Dry Boiling Point is the temperature at which a brake fluid will boil in its virgin non-contaminated state. The highest temperature Dry Boiling Point available in a DOT 3 fluid is 572 F

The Wet Boiling Point is the temperature a brake fluid will boil after it has been fully saturated with moisture. The DOT 3 requirement for wet boiling point is a minimum temperature of 284 F.

Brembo Sport.EVO 500++ Brake Fluid is a premium specification motor vehicle brake and clutch fluid formulated to meet brake system performance requirements for the street and the track. As a U.S. FMVSS No. 116 DOT3 or DOT4 blend, Brembo Sport.EVO 500 is suitable for use in cars (especially those with ABS braking systems), commercial vehicles and motorcycles for which a petroleum-based fluid is specified.

Canton Racing Products Available ONLINE


How many of you are hardcore about racing? Or know how to build a race car on a hardcore level? Royal Purple Break-in Oil, Needed?


In this industry, we notice a buyers trend, Seasons you can call it. Fall and winter brings down time to auto enthusiast to bring on the big projects they wanted to do in the spring and summer. Usually that intails an engine rebuild as one of the things "to-do". So we thought that we should gear up for the items that may need to be used during their projects.

So after some research, we found that there is a product that sounds promising. There have been MANY MANY engine builds we have done in house and always worried "what-if" on the first crank of the motor. Standard oil sold on the market now usually don't take into consideration the wear protection needed when starting a motor for the first time. So we found that there is a product that exist now!

Royal Purple Break-in Oil.

Engine builders have grown increasingly concerned that many modern motor oils do not provide adequate wear protection for new engines, particularly those using flat-tappet cams. Royal Purple has addressed this issue by developing a new engine break-in oil.

Royal Purple Break-in Oil is formulated to allow optimal ring seal and protect rotating assembly components such as the camshaft and valve train from initial start up wear. Royal Purple combines highly refined mineral oil, preferred for engine break-in, with advanced additives containing high levels of zinc and phosphorus to optimize protection in flat-tappet and roller engines.

So I finally took the time to put together some parts that have been sitting around the shop for awhile. I had Andrew snap some pictures of these so we can clear them out. Pretty much, I don't have use for these anymore since we either changed the setup on the Time Attack car or we just don't need them as "back-up".
